Page 12 and 13 In the Starlight matchbox the two bad tempered sisters are screaming and shoving at the matchsticks. 'Get out of the way oldies!' shrieks Lucinda at her aged grandma and grandpa. 'You are old and ugly and don't have any puff left!' screams Lucretia. They give the dozy uncles a couple of head butts and stick their angry tongues out at a blushing Lucy. 'We are young and beautiful, so it's our turn first!' and they shove the matchsticks right into the corner of the matchbox.

Page 14 After six spluttering matches, lots of AUH's! and burnt fingers, the camping stove is finally lit and the baked beans and sausages are boiling in the camping saucepans! Luckily the family have brought a battery lamp with them and the last matches aren't needed the rest of the evening. Page 15 At ten o'clock in the evening Mum and Dad crawl into their tent and Sophia and Peter into their little tent and the lamp is turned off.

Chapter three following very soon…Hoofdstuk drie komt er snel aan

The drawings for ‘Lucy Star’ are the original rough, mostly black and white, sketches that I drew a few years back for the three Lucky Lucifer Matches dummy books, scanned and coloured-in on the computer with Photoshop tools.
They are not the definite illustrations.

I chose to use this method for my stories, here on my weblog, to learn more about all the brushes, tools, paints and colouring palettes available in Photoshop, but at the same time to work on and to keep as close as possible to my original sketches.

I am really enjoying working on the scanned sketches and learning more about Photoshop on my computer.
No paper, paints, pencils, sharpeners or erasers in sight!
But most of all I’m loving working on all the original Lucky Lucifer sketches again, that have lain tucked away in a draw for far too long, breathing new life and extra colour into all the dear old drawings!
I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I am enjoying creating them!
